3 Steps to developing Culturally Relevant Pedagogy
About the Course
The purpose of this online professional development is to share three steps educators can utilize that will help them commit to diversity, inclusion, and equity for all learners. First, a commitment to Culturally Relevant Pedagogy involves instruction and inclusive teaching practices that link learners' experiences in learning to their experiences at home, allowing them to have a voice throughout their learning process to feel valued, heard, and understood.
Ryen Jackson (RJ) has studied, embodied, and demonstrated the art of teaching and learning mathematics through differentiated station-based learning involving manipulatives, mathematical standards, and emerging technologies. She has a B.A. in Mathematics, an M.S. in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technologies, and is a doctoral candidate for EdD in E-Learning.
